I often see accounts created with simple passwords, no 2-factor-authentication enabled and even a wrong e-mail address registered! Low security isn’t the way to go!

Why gain higher security?

I guess that you have a few accounts that you care a bit about, right? If so, please ensure that the security around them are HIGH.

I have quite a few times had the pleasure of helping friends getting back into their accounts and that’s not easy if you have forgot your password, you do not have access to the e-mail that was used when you created the account or you do not own the phone number that was registered or something similar.

How to?

I suggest that you go through all your accounts ex. MitID, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Google account, Microsoft account etc. to ensure the following bullets are correct and enabled:

  • E-mail address
  • Recovery e-mail address
  • Phone number
  • 2-Factor-Authentication / Multi-Factor-Authentication / Passkey

Remember this!

While you are logged in to your accounts, make a password change! And please remember to ensure the above bullets as a first thing each time you create a new account anywhere – Safety First!
